The Loner
TEQA Paragraphs on my impression of the students and the Loner.

The Children

My impression of the children playing in the playground are that they are mean and unthoughtful children. We can tell that they are mean by seeing that they enjoy themselves everyday at the playground, they notice him, but never stop to say hello or ask him to join in. In the poem, it says: We pass him by and never speak,His loneness is his shell and shield. And neither he nor we will yield This is proof that the children are very stubborn and will not talk to him if he doesn’t talk to them first.

The Loner

My impression of the Loner is that he is a shy and bored boy that just wants to join in with the others but are just too shy. We can tell that he is like that as he just watches the children play everyday and never goes up to ask them if he could join in. There are a few sentences in the poem that are evidence to this: Smacks his hands against the bricks. And other boredom-beating tricks. This proves that the Loner is always very bored when he’s in the playground watching others play.

Jack And the Beanstalk: Why Jack and the giant both deserve sympathy

Jack deserves our sympathy because he was very poor and his family has no father to support them. Their only source of income is milk from only 1 cow. He is also very gullible and is easily cheated, that will worsen the condition of his life as his money may be cheated like his cow was.

I sympathize the giant because he is robbed of all of his precious possesions by Jack. He is left with almost nothing and will soon be as poor as Jack and his mother. He also fell to his death just because he wanted to chase the theif that stole his possesions.

First Blog Post!

Question:
  • Do you sympathise with The Joker?
  • What have you learnt from this lesson?

Paragrah:

  • Do you sympathise with The Joker?

I found out, during my research, that the Joker was actually a normal person desperate for money to support his pregnant wife and unborn child. During his attempt to help two criminals, he was being driven into a vat of chemicals by batman. The chemical bleached his face white and turned his lips read and dyed his hair green. The chemical also fixed a permanent grin on his face. He was driven completely insane by that day's happenings, and thus, The Joker was created.

Based on what is stated above, I still do not sympathise with the Joker as, even if he was desperate to earn money, he should not get involved in illegal events. People involved in illegal events always end up being caught or other bad endings.

  • What did you learn in today's lesson?

I learnt about describing characters. I learnt how to describe them to make others judge them the way I want them to see the characters. One way is to give the characters many sides and personalities in different occasions. And b varying their actions and speech.
